The awkward season, in between

LookBook

My favourite season is right around the corner and in honour of that, I decided it’s (of course) time for a brand new LookBook! There’s something about colder weather, hot chocolate, (faux) fur, bomber & (faux) leather jackets, & a whole lot of layering that makes me extremely excited!

BUT, we are in the middle season, autumn, which is that awkward season in the middle. The season that you’re not sure if it’s appropriate to wear full winter looks or still walk around in a pair of shorts. You see it every day… Or at least I do.

Anyway, here’s a LookBook from super casual to a little more formal – the perfect balance for the awkward in between. In collaboration with Sassy Chic

- Side note: The makeup look in these images were done by Monique Loren and photos by Candice Rodrigues Photography once again (of course!)

Look 1 and Look 2:

Starting off with two casual tees, easy to dress up or down! Both tees are R220.00 each from Sassy Chic , paired with great accessories (the cap and sequins clutch bag are from Tessa Designs at YDE stores, black pair of sunnies are from Third eyewear and the silver ones from Flaco Milano) and a funky pair of heels. (Both pairs are from Dolce Vita)

Look 3:

Also on the casual and comfy side, the GRL PWR slogan exposed sleeve sweater (R299.00) can also be easily dressed up or down, with heels or flat, a jeans or sweat-pants. In this case I paired it with my pink Dolce Vita stilettos, a pair of ripped jeans, rose gold hoops from Tessa Designs and a pink cap, also from Tessa Designs at YDE stores.

Look 4:

I paired the animal print shift tee Julia dress (R299.00), with a pair of jeans (can be worn as a dress or top) with thigh-high, black (peep-toe) boots for an edgy, yet sleek and relaxed look. Wearable day or night. The boots are from PLUM shoes.

Look 5:

I love a good t-shirt bodycon maxi dress, and this one is in my fav colour: Khaki! The Bronwyn dress costs R270.00, and it’s comfortable and super easy to mix and match. I paired it with a funky pair of retro shades, a cap from Tessa Designs at YDE stores and boots from Luscious By Lauren.

Ending off with look 6:

The Chloe dress (red, front-ruched) costs R499.00, and will grab attention at any event, for sure. I paired this look with a cosy cream coat, and a black and off-white ankle-boot.

Let me know what you think of this post (and if you’d ever wear these looks, I get that people and taste differ) and would like to see more #OOTD posts by connecting with me on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter!
